If you are into adventure, meeting new people and traveling, then you’ve probably heard that Travel Nursing could be for you! Travel Nursing comes with a lot of perks such as, exploring time and temporary housing. There are some things to know about finding your housing as a travel nurse, though!
The first option you have is to have your agency find you an apartment, house or hotel room to live in while you’re working your assignment. This can save you time when looking for and researching the area you want to stay in. Provided housing by your agency will most likely be in a safe part of town and in decent shape, but it will also most likely be the bare minimum.
The second option is to take the agreed upon housing stipend to secure your own housing. This is where you can bank some really good money! If your living stipend is $2,000/month and you can find a place to stay for $1,000/month, you get to pocket that money! Not only can this make you some money, but you’ll have more choice as to where you want to live, play, eat and explore!
The best part about Travel Nursing is that you can change and try all of your tactics with each contract! What’s been your favorite place that you’ve taken a Travel Nursing assignment?
